Happy Friday!
How are you all?

I’ve finished work for the week and excited to go out and party tonight before everybody disappears for Christmas! (Unfortunately for me, I’m working on Christmas eve so will be flying home on the 24th!)

I saw this jumper and loved it instantly. Khaki is such a great colour at the moment but the studding detail really drew me to it!
The skirt is a new purchase from River Island and I love it! It’s so on trend and goes with everything. It will definitely be featuring A LOT in coming posts!

So I have been awful at posting of late, but one of my dreaded resolutions for 2013 is to blog more and post more regularly!
This is my outfit from today!
Blouse: Pull & Bear
Pants: H & M
Shoes: Primark

I love this blouse because it’s oversized and we all know that oversized tops are my speciality! It’s also quite short which means it’s not too overwhelming and still looks smart with these black skinny pants. The nude heels and dark lips are just final touches!

I’m flying back to the UK on Christmas Eve and couldn’t be more excited! Not only because there are a LOT of packages waiting for me (watch this space!) but because I haven’t seen my family and friends in months and I can’t wait to spend some time with them and just have some fun and eat well and relax without work and in the comfort of my parents’ home!

What are your plans for Christmas?!

Sorry it has been forever since I’ve posted, but life has been pretttyy hectic of late!
Yesterday I went to Bonn with a friend and finally got this compass tattoo which I’ve been wanting for ages!
The guys were great at Showroom Studio and I’m really happy with the result!

Anyway, mumma and papaMcD are coming out to Germany on Saturday with lotss of clothes so new looks will follow soon!!

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything with my posts, but life has been pretty hectic!
The weather has turned to autumn over here and trying to dress for work at 6.30am when it’s pouring down and freezing outside is pretty difficult, but this is the result of today:

My parents are coming in 2 weeks (waahooo) with all of my stuff from the UK which means all of my clothes (finally) and my proper laptop…so hopefully updates will be more regular and with lotssss of new clothes!

My lookbook no longer seems to connect to tumblr automatically so there are a couple of looks on there that aren’t on here - sorry!

My weekend was pretty hectic - lots of partying and sleeping but also a lot of fun although I have been feeling a teensy bit homesick the past couple of days which is the reason behind this look and title.

My dad bought this shirt for me from Portobello market a few months ago and it reminds me of him and, as I said in my last post, my tattoo reads ‘This too shall pass’ - referring to homesickness and the initial fear/loneliness of living in a new city!
My boots are from TK Maxx and I’m secretly quite glad the weather is getting worse as it means I can finally wear them!

Hello!
This is a purchase I made at Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair at Spitalfields last week! 100% silk and a cool retro pattern I had to have it! The shirt is pretty ‘loud’ so I simply paired it with tights and black boots to allow it to do all the talking!

I think this is the first glimpse of my tattoo on here so…that’s my tattoo! It says ‘This too shall pass’ which is one of my favourite sayings. I’ve definitely been bitten by the tattoo bug and am already planning my next few!

Monday is over.
Hello! After a long day at work, I thought it was time for a long overdue post.
I spent the weekend in London which was a lot of fun despite spending wayyy too much money on stocking up for Germany! Luckily I now have a bundle of new clothes along with a healthy supply of Tetley teabags and Dairy Milk…yes!

On to the outfit…
This silver jumper is one of my new purchases from the weekend and is from Forever 21. I’ve got an odd obsession with metallic jumpers at the moment and this is a nice addition to my growing collection! It will definitely be getting a lot of wear in the office especially during the festive season!
Other than that, the jeggings were a bargain from TK Maxx, as always my beloved vintage leather jacket, the shirt under my jumper is from Topshop and I picked the boots up on sale in Zara!

This one’s for the second chances (by Amy M)

My new flat!
So I finally moved back to Germany! I’m in Düsseldorf pretty close to the city centre and this is a glimpse of my flat! I love the flat, it has 6 big windows along the front so it’s always really light, albeit a bit noisy but it’s really cosy and all mine!

The weather here is insanely hot right now so picking outfits for work in an office as been pretty difficult! Our office is luckily pretty chilled so no suits required but still, can’t go in in shorts and a t-shirt which would fit the weather perfectly!

As I only came over with one suitcase I have no summer appropriate clothes so for now I’m making the best of what I have and I’ll hit the shops at the weekend and try to build a more 38degrees-fitting wardrobe!

This is one of the vintage shirts I picked up at Portobello Market, teamed with black leggings and my New Look platform pumps.

My last day in London!
I have been living out of a suitcase in a rented room in London for the past 6 weeks whilst training for work and now I am leaving to Germany, where a nice flat awaits!
London has been so much fun but I hate not having all of my stuff with me!

On Saturday, my dad came down to London and we went to watch the olympic ladies’ triathlon which was great (despite my horrific hangover!), the atmosphere was incredible and the sun came out! After that we had tickets to Jersey Boys but had some time to kill so I dragged papaD to my favourite shopping destination - Portobello Market! I came away with two cool vintage shirts and this Levi’s denim jacket for £20 which is a bargain! I’ve been searching for an oversized denim jacket for what feels like forever and when I saw this one it was perfect!

I’ve teamed it here with a little blouse from Topshop, a vintage scarf from Rome, black skinny pants and some moccasins from Aldo!

I found this picture on my laptop when I went home for a weekend and couldn’t remember why I didn’t post it so…here it is!
This sums up my style pretty well I think; oversized blouse (to match the oversized hair), leggings and converse!
This blouse gets so many compliments and people are always shocked to hear it’s from the Florence & Fred range at Tesco! The colour is amazing and the fit and quality are also good!
